Law Roach is setting the record straight.
A day after announcing his retirement from fashion, the celebrity stylist is weighing in on the rumor that by leaving the industry he is "breaking up" with his client Zendaya.
"So y'all really think I'm breaking up with Z.....," Roach tweeted March 15. "we are forever!"
In a second tweet, the 44-year-old wrote, "She's my little sister and it's real love not the fake industry love."
However, it's unclear what his working relationship may look like with the Euphoria actress going forward.
Roach—whose star-studded roster of clients also includes Tom Holland, Céline Dion, Anya Taylor-Joy, Meg Thee Stallion and Priyanka Chopra—took to Instagram March 14 to address the end of an era.
He posted a graphic that read "RETIRED," and wrote, "My Cup is empty….. thank you to everyone who've supported me and my career over the years."
"Every person that trusted me with their image," he continued. "I'm so grateful for you all."
Roach concluded his retirement statement hinting at the possible cause for pause in his career: "If this business was just about the clothes I would do it for the rest of my life but unfortunately it's not. The politics, the lies and false narratives finally got me!"
Fans and fellow stars alike rushed to the comment section to voice their sadness over this jaw-dropping news.
TikToker Addison Rae commented, "WHAT?!," with a crying face emoji, while model Naomi Campbell wrote, "Law I won't let you!!!! We don't quit... strived to [sic] hard."
Roach's retirement comes four months after the style icon received the inaugural Stylist Award at the 2022 CFDA Awards, where he called the honor "the ultimate compliment."
"I think that what maybe separates me from other [stylists] is that I really work hard to find who the person is," he told Vogue in November. "I don't want to ever change that; I just want to help elevate it; for them to be the best version of themselves. It's not the way that I make my clients look—it's how I make them feel."
Also in attendance at the CFDA Awards to support Roach was his client and friend Kerry Washington, who praised the stylist for his accolade.
"Bowing down," the Scandal alum wrote alongside a video of herself fixing Roach's gown as cameras flashed on the red carpet. "Tonight we're honoring royalty, the queen herself."
In a separate Instagram post, she captioned a carousel of pictures from the evening, "Congratulations to my dear friend @luxurylaw for winning the FIRST EVER CFDA Stylist award! You have dedicated your life to helping others shine, it was an honor to turn that light on YOU and the magic that you bring into the world! Love you!"
